Our Voice. Our Values.

Robert Smullen proudly represents New York State Assembly District 118, which includes Fulton, Hamilton and parts of Herkimer, Oneida and St. Lawrence Counties. He's a conservative leader that fights to protect our values and way of life.

Time and time again, Robert has been our voice in Albany, working to lower taxes, protect our liberty, and reduce regulations to strengthen our economy. He is also committed to providing support for veterans and active service military personnel, drafting legislation aimed at protecting vulnerable New Yorkers, and tirelessly working to improve the quality of life for his constituents and all New Yorkers.

Serving on the Environmental Conservation Committee, Robert knows the importance of preserving and safeguarding our home so future generations can experience the beauty of the Empire State. In addition, Robert has worked to move New York forward by placing a significant focus on economic development and technology to ensure our state stays ahead of the curve.

Robert retired from the Marine Corps at the rank of Colonel, with 24 years of service and three combat tours to Afghanistan, including Operation Enduring Freedom after the September 11th, 2001 attacks on New York and Washington DC. He also served at the Pentagon as a military strategist and in numerous command and staff positions around the world. In 2003, Robert was appointed by President George W. Bush as a White House Fellow, serving at the United States Department of Energy in the Office of the Secretary of Energy.

A Retired Marine Corps Colonel, Robert is a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Marine Corps League,  and will always work to protect and preserve our way of life for the generations to come.
